Ever wanted to wear a dress made of anything but fabric? No? Well, that's too bad because I found
this link which shows a variety of dresses "made from almost anything and everything".
My personal favorites are the LED dresses:

And the newspaper dresses:
I love stuff like this. I once was forwarded an email with a bunch of pictures of dresses made out of balloons twisted together, like the ones that clowns use to make balloon animals. You can find the pictures online just by searching "Balloon dresses" on Google images.
ReplyDeleteso fun! i am loving the idea of making clothes out of materials you would normally not use. this reminds me of the exhibit that is at the barry gallery right now. i think judy bass, a teacher at our school made all the stuff? well anyways, she has dresses made out of metal tin. they are actually really cute, too!
ReplyDeleteThis is sooo cool. If you like this stuff check out Hussein Chalayan's collections, he has "invisible dresses" and dresses that morph into different garment, like a dress will morph into a hat, it's like a magic show.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love all the dresses, the newspaper dresses are my favorite. Where do you find this stuff?
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! Have you seen the new coasters and vases out of rolled up newspapers? That is what these dresses reminded me of. I am surprised at how beautiful some of those dresses came out to be!
